I’m big on white fish, particularly the mild-flavored varieties, and this tilapia recipe is short on ingredients, but long on flavor. I served it with a Garlic Onion Rotini (recipe soon!) and a green salad. It bears mentioning that the pictured fillet is upside-down (the “upside” is whiter and more picture-worthy–this is just how I flipped it onto my plate). It’s tasty either way! 😉
Here goes: Recipe numero diciotto:
GARLIC PEPPER TILAPIA (makes 2 servings)
Ingredients: 2 ~8 ounce tilapia fillets, ~1/4 teaspoon McCormick garlic pepper seasoning (includes garlic, sea salt, black pepper, red and green bell peppers), 1/2 lemon, 1/2 lime (optional: cayenne pepper)
Preparation: Prepare fillets to desired doneness (I steamed them for ~14-16 minutes). Plate and squeeze ~1/4 lemon and ~1/4 lime juice onto each fillet. Sprinkle ~1/8 teaspoon garlic pepper onto each fillet.
Optional: Add a dash of cayenne for an extra kick. Enjoy!
